Better him...

than US!

How could Mitt Romney possibly have been good for the country if he does not understand his own* message? It smacks of entitlements.  Politics is everything.

Mitt not us or humpty, but it should be clear that even kings men or horses...

It has come to my attention that I might not be a member of Beyond the Norm.  I will look back at that later.  In the meantime, David Sirota has become a permanent part of the Norman Goldman Show.

The Club of Association

Or Dis Member* meant, and not just another excuse to MoveOn,
but the last two links in the *** segment, the club of association) refer to some efforts at dealing in a more pragmatic and incremental way. It is still a rhetorical and organizational Heckuva Kitchen counter. Speaking of Moxy.
It is sometimes an awkward counter.

* again violence to the language and rhetoric only, yet definitely Marxist if you check my meaning or scroll over

[Correction and 2nd link added]
[More on the alphabet soup of the Network Theory: ABC, Anti-Billy Club... maybe that poses legal problems, especially for a network. Before I continue with my thinking an in liu of not giving it away, maybe I will develop this legally off line. Till that happens there is no harm in continuing to list the...(careful now) R and D under Research and Development. R's will be the likes of Bills or Wills on the Right(Research) and D's will be the likes of Bills and Wills of the Left. Now just like Republicans may be linked to the Tea Party for better or worse(and that is for whom to say/), the Development side will be more inclusive and may not be as sensitive about labels.]

Bane(Or) Change

[11-17-11 Update Labels]
I guess my chant was heard. But it is not substantial.

There are still three ways of looking at it.
Boehner Change(noun) = debt up, government down
Boehner Change(verb) = nuanced no
Bane or Change(choice) = Reverse or Drive
Might he be bending to the mighty Dem mo'.

Then there is the False flag of divisiveness or moderation?
A pre-curse-or-Y look at narrative? Gingrich supports colonialism**, and in conjunction with Blair, confirms the narrative, the U.S. is more than* patronizing or condescending to the world. I prefer the practical, incremental and political nuances. I feel that there is a major difference in the diplomacy and strategy in the Middle East, compared to the Bush Rumsfeld Cheney unified blame 1% solution.

*[bold irony] It is difficult to balance our national security with national politics in the aim of international justice, let alone diplomacy. Congress in the name of the people must play an important part in the checks and balances as well as the separation of powers. It is a lot easier to say make it so, or make it no, than to make progress. [Segue in time.]

** emphasis "precursory" yet that is the Blair which
projection in the academic twilight*** zone.
*** Gingrich and D'Souza are scary academics
[Speaking of academic lore and narrative not to mention bait and switch.]

Ping Pong Congress

Or Diplomacy?*
**[Health Reform that is.]
Between Ed Schultz and his spin-off, NorMan GoldMan(insert 2nd hour today)?
If it is ping pong, what is the scoring system? Is it We against change or corporations passing the buck?

**[1-6-10 H.R. clarification added along with "check up from the neck" down, it doesn't ryhme but it is Rush via Reagan. Rush Limbaugh endorses overseas public options. My original spin on this was the guts that Ed and Norm have, and a crack at the "Nixon to China" philosophy and the Obama to Corporations hope. (See My Comment)]

Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas to the Democrats
and Happy Boxing Day to the Republicans,
not to be PC or leave any others out.

Or other coping havens of hope.

My comment:
It would seem to me that Congress should be able to "get 'er done" without the 60 votes. Either as some suggest by "going nuclear" (I am against Nuclear Power but) by blowing up the filibuster or somehow utilizing a reconciliation or conference process to do it. Failing that, there are probably enough progressives to kill the bill, but that may not be necessary[or advised**]. Removing the mandate, just might put this in the category of a budget issue under reconciliation, but failing to remove the mandate, might just put this on the track for constitutional review and modification, where it is imagined that a public option just might be the only option. It just might be wise for the Republicans not to push the constitutional issue and settle for a public option now, possibly with a 10-15% buyin margin on Medicare. In the alternative, giving states an option to have a public* plan, and freeing those to sell out of state, might be another crack in the (just say no)[***] armor.

[TruthOut/McClatchy -- Steve Clemons/Huffington}

* one Representative mentioned that the option would have a name other than public, and that could just be non-profit or within the caps imposed.

[In a bit of Re-Mythication, I might say: From hurding cats to a real cat fight, this is no sausage or hot diggity dog eat dog world. Or from Real Mythication to Real Miffication in regards to others, it is better than FAUX News.]

[** semantics are more than a quibble between liberals and progressives, but between principles and progress (side note: some claim that "progressive" is just a label to avoid the "liberal" charge but both are needed, while labels should not give cover for inaction or misconceptions.]
[***(late insert) also: or just say now]

Digging Up and Digging In.

Or Digging Out...

As I paused to reflect on the appropriateness of the connections above, the third popped into place. But it is a grave matter, this journalism*.

The field of meta4; one, two, three, strikes yer out. The Metaphysical Meta-for.

Worse Segue

Think for yourself for a moment.
How to talk about the renomination of Ben Bernanke. by David Sirota

I will have to chew this cud again, but it seems that this rhetorical technique is shadows of the right bull. Ruminate on that one. But...

Granted that Bernanke was part of problem, or even that throwing money at the problem and to whom was only a bandaid for some, it does not necessarily follow that alternatives for the chair would have any shot at getting through the grinder of so-called oversight.

[The Segue is just who is Obama?
